The new Renters’ Rights Act has officially passed into law, bringing significant changes for landlords across the UK.
The first phase is set to come into force on 1 May 2026, and at Lang Town & Country, we’re committed to helping landlords in Plymouth stay informed and compliant.
To guide landlords through these changes, we recently hosted a free online webinar explaining exactly what’s changing, how it will impact you, and what practical steps you can take to prepare.
Whether you missed the session or attended and want a recap, you can watch the full webinar below.
Expert Insights from Industry Leaders
The webinar was hosted by Richard Rabin, Lettings Director at Lang Town & Country, and Alex Jeffrey, Head of Litigation at Bright Solicitors LLP.
Richard is one of Lang Town & Country’s founding Directors. With more than 30 years’ experience in the property industry, his expertise is primarily focused on the lettings and property investment market. Being a Buy-to-Let Landlord himself, Richard offers his advice from a landlord’s perspective to ensure that landlords make the best decisions for their property.
Alex is the Managing Partner of Bright Solicitors and has experience in a wide range of litigation matters, but now predominately advises clients in connection with contentious property matters. In particular, he regularly advises both landlords and tenants in connection with dilapidations, breach of covenant, forfeiture and break notice matters. Alex regularly speaks nationally for the UK’s leading professional body for property agents, Propertymark, with particular focus on the Renters’ Rights Act 2025 and the implications for the Private Rented Sector.
Joining them for the webinar were Claire Wheatley, Branch Manager at Lang Town & Country Lettings, and Adam Brady, Lettings Associate, who added further insights and practical tips for landlords.
