On a bright sunny Monday afternoon, I travelled up with my work colleague Hugo Oliveira (Property Manager) to London to be ready for the Tuesday mornings early registration of this year’s event.
Held once again at the London Excel Arena this event was again sold out as was last years event (again which we attended).
The main reason for the continued popularity was with so many changes to the lettings industry in the last couple of years these events are a must to keep up to date with legislation and forthcoming news.
The event is very well organised with a huge array of sponsors offering agents services to aid them in the running of their businesses so that landlords are given the best service possible.
The morning speeches started with the Presidents (Peter Savage) speech followed by David Cox ARLA’s Chief Executive strong speech aimed at the Government who should maybe listen to our industries voice a little more before rolling out legislation after legislation.
The speeches continued throughout a packed day offering us the ARLA agents a great depth of inside knowledge into the legal jungle of residential lettings and how best to protect our landlords going forward.
Covering topics such as the Tenants Fee Ban, Property MOT’s, new government legislation, Right to Rent changes, HMO’s, there was a lot to cover.
Surely a must for all ARLA agents in the City however to our knowledge we were only joined by one other Plymouth agent at the conference.
Here at Lang Town & Country we pride ourselves as ARLA members so as the industry has even more legislation thrown at it, we continue to be updated and put measures in place to protect our landlords.
Times are tough for Landlords currently and here at Lang Town & Country we will do everything we can to offer the best advice and services we possibly can.
Well done to ARLA
