Lang Town & Country charging into future with two new electric cars

Lang Town & Country has joined the ‘electric revolution’ by adding two electric vehicles (EV) to its fleet.

Plymouth’s leading estate agent will now drive around the city in two fully electric cars, courtesy of Mercedes-Benz of Plymouth.

The Plymouth team will be using one smart forfour car, while the other one is for Plymstock.

The firm has also put in additional charge points at its brand new Plymouth office on Mutley Plain.

It hopes to expand the fleet over time and have them ready for when staff buy their own electric cars.

Why we’re joining the ‘electric revolution’

Paul Preen, Managing Director, says: “We have taken stock of two smart forfour vehicles from Mercedes-Benz of Plymouth.

“As a forward-thinking company, we take our responsibility to our community and the environment very seriously.

“You can experience numerous benefits driving electric vehicles. They’re eco-friendly, less noisy and also cheaper to run.

“Lower emissions mean we’re also doing our bit to reduce our carbon footprint.”

Equipped with a fully electric engine, this innovative car features a defined ‘Eco’ mode, which limits maximum speed to reduce fuel consumption in real-time.

The car also has an incredibly capacious battery that can be charged twice as quickly as the option in the previous model.

Paul adds: “The forfour is spacious and very easy to manoeuvre, making it perfect for city life.

“These new cars will allow our team to drive to and from appointments and further enhance our service for clients.

This acquisition comes at an exciting time for Lang Town & Country, who have just moved into a new Plymouth head office.
